July Commission

I've had this commission which I've been mentioning for a while so I suppose it's finally time to show the goods...

It's an original artwork commission which is kind of a new area to me considering I usually draw my lines by hand then colour and add textures and effects on Photoshop. I know I've done mural work in the past but this feels so much more fragile and like everything could go wrong at the slightest mistake.

However, saying that...it's exciting, and it feels great knowing that everything I'm doing is by hand. I'll be using painting and print techniques to finish these things off, they're still in the pencil stages but are looking quite gorgeous as they are, take a look...

Here's a few scans quickly stuck together (they're about A1 size after I trimmed them down to fit the frames they'll eventually be occupying) just to show the raw composition of the image.

And a few shoddy photographs just to highlight some of the details.

Another collection of scanned areas from the second piece.

And more photographs.

This is proving to be quite a fun project to work on seeing as though I'm between work at the moment (and waiting for replies to a lot of emails :/)

More updates when they've progressed.
