Mother-flipper I'm ill.

Hi blog. Finally got these guys polished off and ready to post. It's like Trainspotting but with zombies or something. I did 2 more designs but they weren't good enough to make the cut, maybe I'll do something else with them one day...who knows.

Anyway, time to get on with the hundred other things on my list. I'd like to produce a few "family friendly" images and material with lighter subject matter for a while, everything I've done recently seems to involve things with teeth and gore.

James.

Zombiiiiiiiiiiiies!

Here's 2 of my (almost) finished pieces for Straight Edge. Working on 3 more of these bad boys to finish the set. My favourite is the second one, pay attention to the badges on the hat ;)

Also check out the team at Blades 'n' Toast who're working on the same brief!

It's been nearly a month since I left an update, so...

Above is my final design for the Adelaide Fringe poster. Other things on the go are
-some fresh work for the launch of a new zine (sneak peek coming soon!)
-a short animated indie film with some guys in York and some bands from Manc.
-writing a script for a new webcomic (hopefully be put into production around the end of Oct depending on how good a team I can rope together!)
-some other comic stuff
-more murals and big paints, etc etc etc.
-AND some ideas of starting up an apparel/skate/urban brand are starting to arise...it's all sounding interesting at the mo!

The post-uni summer is over and now I need some steady money coming in, so I'm looking for part-time jobs and full-time design jobs. I even had the bomb dropped on me that after early 2011 my housemates are possbily (near enough certainly) moving to Berlin so I'm putting plans together to start up an art student/doss house...so I may have a stint as a sub-landlord or something. Fun. Been dropping some promo packs around a few art communities and agencies too. We'll see how it goes.

In the meantime, take a look at this guy...

THIS is where I want to be! I know there are plenty of Jeans, Hanukas and Foxes out there but this guy has something a bit more rugged and addictive about his work. It's been featured a lot on EFII lately and it's caught my eye.

Stay classy!

Adelaide Fringe poster 2

More finalized. I think I love the pen tool.
